MyDefrag is an effective tool to defragment your disks. It can be run in default mode and get not only a defragmented disk, but also optimize the file location, or you can play with it through the script and even increase disk optimization for your specific needs. Even without the script support MyDefrag done an excellent job of defragmenting the files and move them to the best location on your hard drive. Files that are frequently accessed together are grouped into zones for increased performance. MyDefrag even explore the space allocated to the master file table and to move files from this space to other more appropriate places (sometimes when you press Windows dump file space that in reality the rest of orphans system).
